Connecting external services
Supply the API keys the Goodnews weather and social widgets need in order to work.
A few Goodnews widgets connect to an external service and need credentials from that service before they display data. These are set in Goodnews → Theme Options, not on the widget itself.

Weather widget
The Weather widget needs an API key from OpenWeatherMap. Sign up at openweathermap.org, generate a key, and enter it in the weather settings section.
Social Counter widget
Displaying a follower or fan count requires credentials from the network itself:
| Network | What you need |
|---|---|
| A Facebook access token | |
| API keys: consumer key, consumer secret, access token, and access token secret | |
| SoundCloud | A SoundCloud client ID |
| Behance | A Behance API key |
Each service's own developer site is where you generate these — the theme only has a field to paste the result into.
Profile links
Some fields — like your Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram profile URLs — are plain links, not API credentials. These are used for the Social Icons widget and similar profile links, and need no key at all.
